Hi – it’s Anita from Gabriola Island!

I’m thrilled that you signed up to my email list and would like to share with you some changes that have happened with my company, Indian Summer Leather Design.

 

As you know, I have been creating soft leather bags and purses for a very long time. At the beginning of my new venture, I made decisions that may not fit anymore as I kept growing and evolving.

 

26 years ago, I chose my business name because I loved this part of the summer season. Recently, I have learned about the native origins and connotations linked with the name, and it doesn’t seem respectful for me to use it any longer.

 

From now on, my business will have a new name: 

Anita Jackel Leather Design, or AJLD for short.
The New Logo/Brand

The new name acknowledges the personal nature of my brand. I am the creator and producer of the products. I dream the designs, create the patterns, cut the leather, and make the prototypes. My products are a work of love inspired by YOU – my customers!

 

With your input and ideas, we create new designs that make others happy, too. I know you will continue to support me and spread the word about my rebrand.
